Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The quote tool asks for gender, date of birth, general health, tobacco use, coverage amount and term length. Those six responses are all that is needed to receive carrier rates. Any name, address and health details only come up if you decide to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

Those are the premiums each carrier quotes for the health class you chose. The carrier determines the final premium after underwriting, which may confirm, improve or change the class. This site does not guarantee insurance or a specific price.

What happens when I click Apply?

You provide your name and the application pulls together the quote you selected, then moves to the carriers' secure application system. You are able to stop and resume whenever you want, and signature is electronic. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), handles the application.

Will I need a medical exam?

That depends on the carrier, amount and your answers. Many term options now have fast-track paths with no exam for qualified applicants; each quote on this site states whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not required.

Is a longer term better?

A term should match the years when someone would face hardship if your income disappeared: mortgage payments, children in the home, business obligations. Longer terms cost more each month but lock in your rate for a longer period. The quote tool lets you evaluate 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 year terms side by side.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool does not request contact details, our company does not sell or distribute visitor information, and our measurement is cookieless. Check the privacy page for the complete list of what gets collected and by whom.
